Just saw it last night in Santa Fe, Ken: thought it a bunch of fun.

It's certainly likely that I am a delusional Israel hater but did the Dwarfs as Jackson's idea of a story copyrighted in 1937 look like an allegory for the Jews to anyone else?

Mark Anderson

Hey, I saw it in IMAX and it was great, the rock creature battle seemed too much to me also, I guess the continuing closeness of all the great harm takes away from any reality in the movie. That sounds silly since the movie has elves, hobbits, wizards, orcs, goblins, huge flying eagles, etc., but a sense of reality is important.

Jewish Dwarfs? Interesting. Meanwhile, i am with Mark on this one.
