File this one under "shameless self-promotion". I now have a jazz radio show running online on Live365. The show is three hours long, and features hard bop jazz from the sixties and seventies, organized around Miles Davis' two great quintets. There is a little bit of commentary and information on the music played in between every two or three cuts. New material will be added every week or so. Meanwhile, the program will loop, so you can listen to it any time. Here is the link:

If you have the least bit of interest in jazz, check it out. If you don't, check it out. It's been a lot of work and a barrel of fun.
This is a test I am conducting (at my own expense) as part of the NSU Radio Committee. We are planning to start an NSU online radio station. I am learning a lot about broadcasting that I wanted to know and a lot about Congress's counterproductive legislation that I would rather not have known.
I would add that "JazzNote" first appeared as an occasional feature on this blog.
While my playlist is usually full of old standards from Dean Martin and The Mills Brothers, I enjoyed this broadcast. A lot of the tunes had similar qualities to some of the swing tunes I like, but they were sufficiently different to make listening an enlightening experience. Thanks!
Clicking on the link, by the way, doesn't seem to work, but copying and pasting it did the job!
