I am on family business right now and that means travel into realms where internet connections are not a given. Blogging may be sparse. That will especially be true when I am cooling my butt in Sylamore Creek.
Sitting in my hotel room, I notice that Survey USA has Fiorina leading Boxer 47% to 45% in the California Senate race. I think that is the first poll in which Boxer is behind. Oh frabjous day, says I. The same poll for the governor's race shows Whitman seven points ahead of the once and maybe not so future Brown. I have noted Survey USA is one of the few polls with a better recent record than Scott Rasmussen.
Of course my friend Cory Heidelberger continues to doubt the Rasmussen poll, except when he doesn't. A few days ago he made a pitch for Stephanie Herseth Sandlin on the grounds that she is as almost as irritating to Cory as Kristi Noem, but not quite as irritating. He and I jousted over that. Now he reminds us that the Rasmussen polls are suspect, and uses R to show that SHS is someone Republicans can support. Don't think for a moment that I am belittling my friend. To the contrary, I think we are in the presence of greatness.
I went to some trouble to show that, where it counts, Rasmussen has been very reliable. If he is using the same methods now and they work as well as they did in New Jersey, Virginia, and Massachusetts, Democrats in South Dakota and California have good reason to be in denial. That's where I would be if I were them.
In that spirit, I offer this video clip.
There is nothing wrong with the Democratic party in particular or the American Left in general, except that the front fell off.
Thanks for the laugh!
Nothing wrong here other than the front fell off!
Go Kristi!!
