The calumny against the Tea Party movement, that it is racist and advocates violence, rests largely on a few images of political props. I find it remarkable how few images are out there, to judge from several Google image searches. But they are certainly there, as my esteemed Keloland Colleague, David Newquist demonstrates. Here is his offering:

I suppose that illustrates the sentiments well enough. But nothing says "I hate you" like a hanging in effigy. So here are some examples:
To be sure, the Tea Party rallies have their wing nuts and embarrassing photos. But the Tea Party people have a long way to go if they want to match the anti-Bush Left. If my friends on the Left in the local blogosphere were offended by this, I missed it. One thing is certain, the MSM didn't get interested in hints of violence in political speech until the rise of a protest movement on the right.
This doesn't have to do with this post, but while you're trying to get comments working you might want to inform your readers (and maybe knowing this will help you debug) that comments can still be posted if they press "preview" first.
