Some Rules for Commenters

I love each and all of my commenters, and I value your participation.  I think this blog has attracted a lot of folks who are intelligent, reasonable, and interested in conversation about the issues we raise.  I have very few rules, and most of them I develop on the fly.  But here are a couple:

Attach your comments to relevant posts.  Don't comment on a previous thread in a new one, unless the topic is the same.  If you have a comment on a post where it obviously does not belong, copy your work and post it in a more appropriate place.  I will give you some time, but I will remove irrelevant comments from the various threads. 

Make sure that your post is a genuine comment and not a pre-packaged statement.  I have had to remove a few Martin Luther style parchments from the blog. 

Also: I try to respond to as many comments as I can, but this blog is a hobby and I have a real job.  If I don't respond to a comment, it doesn't mean I am ducking your incisive it or that I judged your comment unworthy of response.  It might just mean that I had to mow the lawn.

I don't mind that you don't respond to my argument. In fact, I wasn't expecting you to. I just want you to read it and hopefully take an hour to read at least those two articles before you pass more judgments on the health care motives/process.
