In Chicago. There might be a God after all.
Manager Ron Gardenhire says that you can't call the way the Twins are playing a streak anymore after their hot start to the second half, including handing the White Sox their first home sweep with Wednesday's 7-4 victory.
"I don't know if it's a streak anymore; we're just playing really good baseball, Gardenhire said. "People keep talking about the streak we're on, but streaks don't last two months or a month and a half. We're just playing solid baseball."
The Twins have won 11 of their last 12, but it's where they're doing it that has Gardenhire and the rest of the clubhouse fired up. After losing 10 road series in the first half, including getting swept four times, the Twins have won the first two series of the second half. A 22-30 road record still is not excellent, but they're moving in the right direction.
