College Costs

This story has good and bad news for South Dakota higher education.  On the downside, the number of high school graduates in the region is in decline (see chart below).  On the plus side, the article notes that the Dakotas offer very offordable education, possibly making it attractive to out of state residents. The article makes special note of North Dakota.   I would urge the state to expand its reciprocity agreements to give in-state tuition to all of our neighbors and at least hold the line on out-of-state tuition.  These opinions are my own, not my employer's.
