Abortion Poll

Here is a story on the abortion poll that has hit the news.  Not surprisingly, South Dakota's abortion ban looks set to be repealed this fall.  But a solid majority, 59%, would uphold the ban if it included exceptions for rape and incest.  This would still be a pro-life victory.  The South Dakota legislature clearly went beyond public opinion, and they are fixin' to get smacked over it.  Next year pro-lifers should come back with a more moderate bill, which they should have done the first time.  As it is, they have managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
