The Daschle Effect

Harry Reid, Tom Daschle's hand-picked successor as Senate Minority Leader, is losing support in his state of Nevada.  During his tenure as Minority Leader, the citizens of Nevada have had a chance to see where Reid really stands.  The poll shows support for Reid dropping by 10 percentage points since 2004 (down to 43 percent), while the number who viewed him unfavorably increased 14 points to 39 percent.  The article concludes:  "Becoming Senate minority leader doesn't always help with the folks back home.
