A measure seeking to give South Dakota one of the nation’s earliest presidential primaries was killed Monday by a legislative committee after opponents said a special presidential primary would be a waste of time and money.
The Senate State Affairs Committee voted 6-3 to reject SB93, which would have moved the presidential portion of South Dakota’s primary to the last Tuesday in January,
