Kent Conrad of North Dakota will vote for Samuel Alito's confirmation to the Supreme Court. Like Robert Byrd and Ben Nelson, two other Demcrats committed to voting Alito in, Conrad is up for re-election this year. The fourth Democrat, South Dakota's Tim Johnson, is up for re-election in 2008.
