Barb Penny, RIP

I see that Barb Penny, the wife of former congressman Tim Penny, has died of cancer at age 51.  Tim Penny was my representative when I lived in my hometown of Rochester in the First District of Minnesota.  He is exactly the kind of Democrat we need more of, i.e. moderate to conservative on most things.  In fact his moderation kept him from advancing within his party, which led to his relatively early retirement from Congress.  And yes, we need more liberal Republicans, too, as I explained here.  Tim Penny, besides being a good congressman, was and is a good man.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
