Unity and Post-Partisanship?

Both the Left and the Right are wondering why Barack Obama is placing so many old Washington hands in his cabinet, starting with Joe Biden and most recently with Hillary Clinton.  So, this begs the question: with the Left and Right coming together, is this the sort of post-partisanship Obama promised the nation?
